Poems/Stories

Peace
If we all lived in peace and harmony,
Without wars what a world it'd be.
The race of humans that we are,
We could get this very far.
If you think this is unnecessary,
take a look and change your mind.
Children are hungry and die,
don't turn away from it and tell yourself a lie.
You just have to think of where the world will end,
and when it's ruined you can't save it again.
So think before you shoot lives,
think about their children and wives.
Children are cold freezing to death,
while we're sitting here with wonderful health.
If we try we can make our world right again,
if we try we can take it back again.
You can't do it all,
but you can do a part.

A little something I wrote in 4th grade. We did a bit of poem-writing after 9/11 and this was the result of it. It's my childish cry against war, and it sounds inside me still.
